Setting up the cove bit…

Today’s tip is about setting up the cove bit. What got me on this tip was a neighbour asking me questions about the set up procedure of different router bits. I wanted to be able to put in simple terms that a beginner could grasp so here is the tip.

Very clear set up instructions. Not clear though on where the 3/8 radius came from except what it says on the manufacturers label.Tom

The 3/8″ radius is the size of the cove bit, which is determined by the radius of the router bit profile.
