Welcome to Rick’s Blog…
The main purpose of this blog is to test the email function. The system will send an email alerting the email list to the fact that a new blog post is ready to read.
We have three kinds of posts so far.
- Routerworkshop podcast is about the Router Workshop TV series we pick out a particular episode and highlight the lessons to be learned in that Episode. This is an audio post.
- Next we have the Play-by-play comentary of a specific router operation. You can see a sample of these posts in the right sidebar.
- And finally we have the written post which will be a discussion about a feature or comments about the router. These posts will include photos and words. Example is a step-by-step router “How To.”
To finish this post we will be posting once a month to start. If your interested in getting your router out of the box and get started routing you should think about joining our Router Enthusiast Membership Club to start with the club is about watching the Router Workshop Series as more join we are going to start to feature the jigs and fixtures used on the show, giving insights on the uses and construction details.
That’s it for now,
Hey, if you know anyone that could use a website like this one please spread the word.
Thanks,
Rick

Really a great program. I really like the video,s. Looking forward to getting more out of my router. Thanks
Hi Rick,
I can’t wait to see this in full swing where I can catch up on the many shows I have never seen. We do not get your show in the Atlanta area and even with the DVD set I currently own, there are still many more that I have never seen and want to see.
I think I better head out to the shop and be polishing up my router for the big event.
Thanks for getting this going, I know it will be a success.
Sure Wish my local Public Broadcast station had it.
Agreed, I’m looking forward to the videos.
For me, learning about how things are done is as interesting as actually doing things. You know, the journey… not the destination.
I rarely got a chance to see any of the shows on PBS, andI hope to catch up, now that I have a table mounted router and one for handheld use.
Video is an excellent medium for teaching technique. It’s very useful seeing things that are difficult to put into text (for example, watching the feed rate of the material past the cutters).
So from the basics to advanced techniques… to the most simple tips to make things easier, there’s a lot to teach, and I, for one am an anxious audience.
Rick, I am so glad you got this up and running. I know you spent long hours to make this happen, but this is the answer to all those on routerforums.com who asked to see the show again. I think the ability to view the shows when it is convienient is an added bonus. Great job, and I will be mentioning this to all the woodworkers I know.
It is SO nice to be able to watch these programs again. And, this time I can rewind it as many times as I need until I fully grasp the procedure,
Hi Rick,
My first experience with TRW (The Router Workshop), was at a woodworking show, many years ago. I purchased the Spacer Fence Kit. I had no idea then what a versatile tool the router is.
After first veiwing TRW program, I was hooked. I was fascinated by the methods and explanation of how and why certain procedures were accomplished. Every episode builds knowledge and helps the viewer to expand their ability to use the router.
Then came the Router Forum and now The Router Workshop.net.
This is the ultimate in router information and projects. A discussion forum is great but to be able see the operations performed and to have an opportunity to watch when you want, is invaluable.
Everything from making a dado to designing and using jigs. This program takes you from elementary education to a doctorial degree. There is something for everyone.
This truly is the one stop shop for everything router!
Thanks
Jack Williams
Rick, I am like a kid in November anticipating Christmas….I can’t wait until the next video. Thus far they’ve inspired me to drag out the old router, re-tool with the things I need to do some creative routing, and kick up some saw dust. In other words, the video’s are grrrrraAAATE!
Rick,
This is a great chance for router users to increase their woodworking ability.
The videos keep getting better and better.
