		<description>the size of router that you need -- depends on what you are going to do -- I would always choose the next size larger than what you think you need .

my routers range between 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 hp. I will cut holes in 3/4 ply with a 3/8  bit in one shot using the 3 hp. 

As far as brand --- that is up to your preference - -but generally I pick the least expensive -- unless I just have to a certain feature -  I have found that Hitachi is very good and of course the Porter Cable as to being my main choices</description>
